Our Story
We grew up in India — where the smell of spices and the warmth of shared meals became part of who we are. We built a life in Jamaica. And when we finally landed in Corpus Christi, something clicked. This was home. We didn’t just want to live here; we wanted to give here. So we — Pramod and Preeti — opened SV Catering Service: a family-owned kitchen where every dish carries the flavors we’ve held close for years. Real food. Our recipes. Made by hand, with the same care we’d give our own family.
Our children were there from the very beginning. Not in the kitchen — just there. They were our why. We built this for them: something to be proud of, something to stand on. And when the days stretched long and we wondered if we could keep going, they were the reason we didn’t quit. We did it for them. They, in turn, gave us the courage to keep going. That’s what family does — we lift each other. So when you order from us, you’re not just getting takeout or a catering tray. You’re getting food made by people who believe that feeding someone is an act of love.
Running a small business is hard. The long hours. The sleepless nights. The fear that it might not work. We’ve felt all of it. What keeps us going is simple: we do this from the heart. Every order matters to us. Every customer feels like a gift. There is no “just another order.” When someone tells us the biryani brought back memories, or that their whole office is still talking about the spread, or that their grandmother asked for seconds — our hearts swell. That’s why we’re here. We live for those moments.
“Family-owned” isn’t a slogan. It’s our truth. We’re the ones in the kitchen at dawn. We’re the ones answering the phone. We’re the ones making sure the rice is perfect and that you have enough for everyone at your table. There’s no faceless company behind us — just us, our recipes, and a promise: we will never send out a plate we wouldn’t be proud to serve to our own family.
Corpus Christi welcomed us when we needed a home. We will never forget that. This city is where we put down roots, and we want to give back — by being the place you can count on.
